Drug overdose blamed in death of Friday Harbor man

The body of a 20-year-old San Juan Island man who died of an apparent overdose was found Friday morning inside a storage unit in Friday Harbor.

According to the San Juan County Sheriff's Department, Ryan Ochoa of Friday Harbor died several days before his body was found. He reportedly had been living in the storage unit where his body was recovered early Friday, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Ochoa is the son of Friday Harbor's Mario and Julie Ochoa, and brother of Richie Ochoa, a 2009 graduate of Friday Harbor High School.

An autopsy will be performed by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
