Liliana Elisabeth Compton: The newest work of art at Westcott Bay Institute

Aug 16 2008

Liliana Elisabeth Compton was born to Westcott Bay Institute director Victoria Compton on Aug. 7, 2008 at 4:31 p.m.

She weighed 6 pounds 12.9 ounces and measured 19 3/4 inches.

"She can roll on her side already, and grip things. She's a child prodigy," her mother reported. "She's also got the most amazing hands and eyes. I'm enclosing a couple of photos of her, one where she's making the OK sign (at least, that's what she said she was doing). Shockingly adorable, huh?"

Lily Compton is deliriously, joyfully welcomed by her mother, Victoria Compton; grandmother, Karen Compton; and aunt, Elisabeth Compton. She and her mother are thankful for the scores of islanders who helped her mom bring her into this world, with their love and community welcome.
