Angel favors development

For 17 years, starting with the Banner Forest fight in 1991, I have worked with my neighbors and friends to protect the environment of Kitsap County.
We’ve worked to protect our natural resources and our quality of life.
During that time, there have been 10 different county commissioners.
Of those ten, Jan Angel has the worst record of all the rest on protecting the environment.
Only once during her eight years in office did Jan Angel even participate in our annual commissioner forums on the environment. Every time we held a forum, we invited Jan Angel to attend and speak about her environmental priorities.
Except for her first year in office, she declined every time.
We can only assume that she has no environmental priorities.
For eight years, Jan Angel consistently supported the agenda of the developers. Her votes increased urban sprawl, reduced impact fees, would have converted forest to housing developments, reduced protections for streams, wetlands and shorelines and increased traffic congestion for all.
I think of her as the Angel for the developers.
I urge voters to vote for her opponent, Kim Abel, for state representative.
Kim Abel is a trusted community leader and a strong environmental steward.
