Chamber to honor small business

The Port Orchard Cham-ber of Commerce has an-nounced nominations for its first annual South Kitsap Small Business of the Year Award, recognizing one of four local firms for their contribution to the community and the economy.

Nominees include Custom icture Framing, Moon Dogs, Too, Peninsula Feed and Rill Chapel/Pendleton Gilchrist Funeral Home.

The winner will be announced at the chamber’s Installation Banquet on Oct. 10.

The previously announced Man and Woman of the Year Awards, to Al Mahaney and Teri Goodwin will also be presented at that time.

Tickets are $64 and in-clude dinner, entertainment and drawings for valuable door prizes.
