Nov 08 2009

Two women were killed and a man injured when the car he was driving south on National Avenue in Navy Yard City left the roadway and crashed into a ravine at 12:51 a.m. Sunday, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.

The women, Laresa Ann Davis, age 28, and Nina Terumi Martinez Gonzalez, age 27, were declared dead at the scene. They were both from Bremerton. The 24-year-old man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The man was driving a four-door 2004 Dodge Stratus southbound on National Avenue when it went airborne at McCall Boulevard West and landed in a ravine, where it struck a dirt embankment, according to KCSO.

Sheriff's deputies are still conducting evidence analysis to determine the vehicle's speed and it is unknown if the driver was under the influence of alcohol or narcotics at the time of the accident, according to KCSO.

KCSO, South Kitsap Fire & Rescue and Bremerton Fire Department responded to the crash.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Deputy Steve Martin at (360) 337-4634.
