Foley’s Pizza to celebrate fifth anniversary Oct. 15.

With a variety of pizzas, subs and salads, it’s no wonder Foley’s Pizza continues to draw in customers.

Foley’s Pizza on Lebo Boulevard in Bremerton is celebrating its fifth anniversary next week. Owner Mona Foley, of Seabeck, and her son, Joey, who manages the restaurant, opened the family shop after years of experience in the pizza business.

“(Joey) has worked in pizza since he was 16, off and on, so he had all the experience coming into this,” Foley said.

She said Joey worked at Seabeck Pizza, Round Table Pizza and other pizza shops over the years, but he always wanted to open his own business.

“Joey’s always wanted to have his own pizza place and didn’t have the financing for it, so I decided to do it,” Foley said.

She said she was in the process of starting a secretarial service in her home when the pizza shop idea came along. So, in 2003, the mother-son duo opened Foley’s Pizza.

“I was starting a secretarial service in my home, then this came along so that’s kind of put aside,” she said. “I enjoy this though.”

Foley’s Pizza only offered pizzas when they first opened, but Foley has since added subs, salads, homemade soups, breads, hot wings and ice cream to the menu.

“We just wanted more of a variety,” Foley said.

Foley’s Pizza sells 13 different speciality pizzas, 10 different subs and 15 salads. She said Joey created the dough and sauce recipes himself and all the dough and pizzas are made fresh daily. Foley even makes the hoagie rolls for the subs fresh every day.

Foley’s Pizza sells 10-, 12-, 16- and 18-inch pizzas and will cater events as well.

“For parties we’ll do 24-inch pizzas,” Foley said.

Foley’s Pizza delivers too. Delivery is free when a person orders at least $15 worth of food.

Foley’s Pizza serves up all-you-can-eat pizza from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday. The all-you-can-eat deal costs $7.95 and does not include a drink.

Foley said the most popular food at Foley’s Pizza isn’t actually pizza. The Foley’s Philly Cheesesteak takes top honors.

“Our Philly cheesesteak is one of our popular ones here — Foley’s Philly Cheesesteak,” she said.

Foley said she may add a couple more speciality pizzas and a salad or two to the menu in the near future. She and her son regularly search the Internet for new and interesting pizza ideas.

Foley’s Pizza is celebrating its anniversary Wednesday, Oct. 15 by offering free pizza slices, cake, punch, small calzones and possibly lasagna all day.
