Wedding party goes awry

A 31-year-old woman was arrested and booked in jail on Aug. 14 for punching her husband-to-be in his face the night before their wedding.

The couple were having a celebration party with two close friends. Apparently things got too close.

A juvenile witness told the woman he saw her fiance kissing another woman while she was upstairs.

According to deputy reports, the woman said she became "unglued" and tackled her groom-to-be to the ground. She allegedly punched him multiple times in his face.

Upon responding to a call of domestic violence, deputies arrived to the home located on Sandy Hook Road and the woman told police she did it out of rage and a broken heart.

She was booked in jail for assault fourth-degree. Her bail was set at $5,000.

Bit and Run

A 21-year-old Silverdale man was arrested for biting his girlfriend's ear and driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 10 in the Suquamish Clearwater Casino parking lot.

When deputies found the girlfriend, there was blood on her ear. She informed deputies that they had been drinking in the casino's Beach Rock Lounge and was cut off from having more drinks by the bartender.

Her boyfriend had several drinks and was visibly intoxicated when he tried to get her to drive him home; she said she refused and he bit her ear.

The man's van was located in the parking lot. He was arrested and booked in jail for assault and driving under the influence of alcohol.

His bail was set at $10,000.

Man airlifted after fall

A 48-year-old concrete worker was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center's trauma unit Aug. 14 after sustaining injuries from a fall.

Poulsbo Fire Department crews responded to the reported fall at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at a rock and concrete plant on Widme Road.

The man was washing down a concrete truck while standing on the truck's attached ladder when he lost footing and fell 10 feet to the concrete pad.

According to a Poulsbo Fire press release, medics believe the man suffered head and possible back injuries.
