Kingston 4th of July deals full deck of fun
Jun 29 2002
KINGSTON The Old Fashioned 4th of July festival will kick off bright and early next Thursday with a pancake breakfast at the Kingston Cove Yacht Club, followed by a full day of activities for everyone.
The Farmers Market will be up and running as well the Antiques and Collectibles Flea Market. Kids will have their own festival in Tiny Town, over at Kola Kole Park, where they can eat, play, race slugs and have their pets blessed.
Throughout the day, festivities will include musical entertainment, parades, a tractor and pull show, and the raffle drawing for the Monster Merchant gift basket, all followed by the fireworks.
And speaking of fireworks, the Fireworks Fund is $1,500 shy of its $11,500 goal. The pancake breakfast last Saturday brought in $1,500 for the fund but locals will have another chance to support the big show. A car wash has been scheduled Sunday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kingston Thriftway and will be the last organized fund raiser for event.
