He was never very good at math ...

A 24-year-old Suquamish man was arrested and booked in jail Nov. 11 for an outstanding drug-related warrant and lying about himself.

A Kitsap County Sheriff deputy recognized the 24-year-old passenger of a vehicle stopped by Poulsbo Police. After they drove away, the deputy ran the man's information and found two outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants — one out of Kitsap County and another from Vancouver.

The man told deputies the man they were looking for was his brother and he was someone else. Deputies asked his birthdate and social security number and age. His birthdate and age didn't mathematically match. He later admitted he was the man they were looking for.

He was arrested and booked in jail for making false statements to a public servant and for his outstanding arrest warrants. His bail was set at $7,500.

What happened to Mom?

A 28-year-old Kingston woman allegedly stole groceries from Central Market Nov. 11.

According to a press release from the Poulsbo Fire Department, she backed her car over the leg of a 46-year-old market clerk who tried to prevent her from leaving.

"The man is going to have a heck of a bruise," said Poulsbo Police Sgt. Howard Leeming. "There were tire marks from his ankle to his knee."

The vehicle was described as a blue hybrid registered to a woman with a Woodburn Lane address in Gamblewood.

A Kitsap County Sheriff deputy saw the vehicle and attempted to stop it. According to the deputy report, the woman attempted to flee from police by driving into an industrial park on Bond Road and hid the car in a tarp structure.

The children, who were with her at the time of the incident, and wallet were released to the woman's husband.
