RUMMAGE SALE: The Suquamish United Church of Christ, 18732 Division, will host its semi-annual sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. More than 40 families will participate. Proceeds will go toward making the church more energy efficient.

GREAT PENINSULA FUTURE FESTIVAL: Historic Port Gamble will be the setting for the greenest outdoor sustainability festival in Washington through Aug. 3. The Great Peninsula Future Festival will mix interactive displays of green concepts, products and services with family entertainment, live music, food and hand-made crafts. GUEST SPEAKER: Pastor Jeff Driscoll will be the guest preacher Aug. 3 at Poulsbo First Lutheran Church, 18920 4th Ave NE, at the 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. traditional services in the sanctuary and the 9 a.m. contemporary worship service in the Christian Center. Pastor Driscoll and his family are currently serving Peace Lutheran Church in Silvana.

CHUCKWAGON: Chuckwagon Senior Nutrition Program presents a Hawaiian Luau at noon Aug. 5. The meal will include Hawaiian roast pork and other island favorites. The event is open to seniors age 60 and older. Reservations are required at least one day in advance. $3 suggested donation. There will be entertainment at some locations. KCAC MEETING: The Kingston Citizens Advisory Council’s monthly meeting will be from 7-9 p.m. Aug. 6. Up for discussion is the Kingston Subarea Plan review final report, which will be forwarded to North Kitsap’s county commissioner, Steve Bauer, once KCAC aproves it. BARN DANCE: North Kitsap Eagles is hosting a Barn Dance Aug. 9. The day will start with a BBQ cook-off. EYES IN THE WOODS: North Kitsap Trout Unlimited is sponsoring an Eyes in the Woods criminal observation reporting and training session from 7-9 p.m. and Aug. 13 at the Kingston Fire and Rescue station on Miller Bay Road.
