The North Kitsap Herald is celebrating a century of providing community news to residents of Poulsbo, Kingston, Suquamish, Hansville, Indianola and Little Boston. Since its founding in 1901 as the Kitsap County Herald, the newspaper has never been late or missed an issue in spite of wars, blizzards and even a major earthquake. Now published twice weekly each Wednesday and Saturday, the Herald has a circulation of 12,000. Owned by Sound Publishing, the Herald's sister newspapers in Kitsap County are the Bainbridge Review, Central Kitsap Reporter, Bremerton Patriot and Port Orchard Independent.
