Candidates file for North Kitsap 2009 races

Candidates filed with the Kitsap County Auditor's office last week for upcoming races in North Kitsap.

Several candidates are running unopposed:

Will Stewart of Suquamish is running unopposed for the North Kitsap Fire Commissioner position 1.

David Roberts is unopposed for Port of Eglon Commissioner District 2.

John Jacobsen is unopposed for Port of Indianola Commissioner District 2.

Pete DeBoer is unopposed for Port of Kingston Commissioner District 2.

Two races have multiple candidates. For North Kitsap Fire Commissioner Position 4, incumbent Gillian Gregory is being challenged by Scott Henden. For the Port of Eglon Commissioner District 3 position, Marcus Croman has filed to run against incumbent Joyce McClain.

Elections are scheduled for Nov. 3 this year. Contact information for candidates is available in the Unofficial 2009 Candidate Filing Report from the Kitsap County Auditor's Web site here.
