Old Mill Days and more coming to Port Gamble

Here is the calendar of events for Port Gamble this month. Visit www.portgamble.com for details, new information and events for the rest of the year.

Through Oct., Sunday Market, 11 a.m.-5 p.m and Port Gamble Historic Museum open daily

Sept. 5, businesses open late until 8 p.m.

Sept. 7, 1-3 p.m., live music at Sunday Market with NW Country Boys

Sept. 13, 10 a.m., Olympia Radio Control Association Snipe Race, Port Gamble Uplands Field

Sept. 18, 4-7 p.m., Port Gamble Art Walk, businesses in downtown Port Gamble, along Rainier Avenue, feature local artists every third Thursday.

Sept, 13, Historic Homes Tour

Sept. 20, 1-4 p.m., Historic Walking Tour, enjoy a stroll narrated by town’s museum curator, reservation required, $15 per person, (360) 297-8074.

Sept. 20, 9 a.m., Olympia Radio Control Association Crap Shoot & Club Meeting, Port Gamble Uplands Field.

Sept. 25, Cruz Port Gamble, enjoy cool cars and good food, classic cars and hotrods welcome, located in Forest Ridge behind Historic Grounds Espresso, (360) 297-8114.

Sept. 26-28, Old Mill Days, 4-11 p.m. Sept. 26, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sept. 27, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 28, carnival rides, lumberjack and wood carving, live music, arts and crafts, food and fireworks, plus free parking, jmiller@oldmilldays.com, www.oldmilldays.com, (360) 620-1732.

Sept. 28, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Forest Festival, exhibits and demonstrations on forestry, fish, wildlife, water quality and recreation with a logger’s breakfast, interpretive walks, story telling and pony rides, (360) 297-0570.

Port Gamble Ghost Walks coming 7-10:30 p.m. Oct. 4, 11, 31. Cost $10 per person; reservation required. A guided tour by the museum curator through town with stops at places with reported supernatural activity. Infrared cameras and recorders are allowed and encouraged.
