Special services at North End churches


Nov 26 2008

Faith Epicopal Church will hold a joint advent service with Redeemer United Methodist Church on Nov. 30. Faith Episcopal will hold its annual meeting Dec. 14 following the 10 a.m. service for new Bishop’s Committee and select congregation members. There will be a Christmas Eve service on Dec. 24. Kingston Christian Church presents a “Victorian Family Christmas” at 6 p.m. Dec. 21 featuring a variety of talent, from humorous to serious, and a gathering to celebrate the birthday of the Savior. Refreshments will follow. Kingston Christian Church is located off Highway 104 in downtown Kingston, (360) 297-2551.

North Peninsula Unity Center in Kingston offers its annual Christmas Candlelight Service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21. This special evening event is open to the community and will be followed by light refreshments.

The Unity Center is located at 26011 Ohio Street in downtown Kingston.

Redeemer United Methodist Church will have several special events during the Christmas season. The Home Town Band will have a community Christmas concert at the church at 7 p.m. Dec. 13. This is open to all and is admission free.

The Chancel Choir of Redeemer United Methodist Church will have its second annual Christmas Cantata at 10 a.m. Dec. 14. This is open to the public and will be held during the Sunday morning worship service. Admission is free.

The Family Christmas Eve Candlelight Service with carols, scripture readings, and lighting of candles takes place at 7 p.m. Dec. 24. The public is invited to begin Christmas with a celebration of the coming of Christ to the world.

Redeemer United Methodist Church is located at 9900 NE Shorty Campbell Road at the corner of Parcel and Shorty Campbell Roads here in Kingston.  For more information please contact the church at 360-297-4847.
