North Kitsap Schools Foundation gets Mor Mor help

Sep 02 2008

North Kitsap Schools Foundation has been selected as the September featured charity for Mor Mor Bistro’s “MOR” for a Difference Charity Lunches. Mor Mor, located on Front Street in downtown Poulsbo, will donate 5 percent of its total Wednesday lunch sales to North Kitsap Schools Foundation during September. Liberty Bay Auto of Poulsbo will match the Mor Mor donation. Lunch service runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The board of the former North Kitsap Education Foundation recently announced the name of the foundation was changed to North Kitsap Schools Foundation to more clearly distinguish the organization from those with similar names, such as the North Kitsap Education Association.

Last year, the foundation provided 16 grants, totaling nearly $6,000, to North Kitsap School District teachers and staff for creative learning projects. Proceeds from this fundraiser will allow NKSF to continue to increase grant amounts for this program. It is a non-profit, volunteer organization established in 2002 to promote and help fund learning opportunities for all students in the district.
