Faith Episcopal: ‘small church with big heart’
Jul 29 2008
Faith Episcopal Church of Kingston recently welcomed Rev. Gregory H. Rickel, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia. He was greeted by church members and guests, many who came from Montana to attend the baptism of Ryan Steel, son of Rachel and Chris. The Grace Notes provided music. Hearing of the special occasion, Deb Anderson of Kingston made and presented Faith with a beautiful tub of flowers to welcome all who walked through the doors.
Faith Episcopal is a “small church with a big heart” whose motto is: Open Minds, Open Hearts, Open Arms. In addition to a weekly Bible Study at 9 a.m. Sundays before the regular 10 a.m. service, a healing service is held the second Wednesday of each month with music at 6:30 p.m. and service at 7 p.m.
A Community Meal is offered on the last Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Social activities this summer include barbeques at members’ homes, family game nights at the VFW, and a regional croquet tournament, followed by a potluck, with other Episcopal churches.
Everyone is welcome at Faith Episcopal Church, located in the VFW Hall on West First Street in Kingston. Children are an integral part of services and childcare is provided for babies and toddlers.
