Kitsap Pumas gear for ‘Fan Appreciation Night’

Jul 09 2009

The Kitsap Pumas have dubbed their final regular-season home game Fan Appreciation Night Saturday.

With the first-year professional soccer club seeking a United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League Northwest Division crown, fans who purchase two tickets for the home finale at partnering retail locations will receive the third free.

“We’ve accomplished a lot this season already — and there is a long way to go to achieving our goal of winning the championship — but it’s important for us to acknowledge the best fans in the league in as many ways as we can,” club owner Robin Waite said.

Additionally, active and retired military personnel who purchase two tickets — with identification — will receive two tickets free.

The participating partner outlets are Emerald City Smoothie (Silverdale and Bremerton), Old Town Bistro in Silverdale, Sudz-eeze Cleaners in Bremerton (Perry and Kitsap Way locations) and R&H Market (Kitsap Way location).

“We’ve really tried to target highly valued items and services for the fans,” said executive director Ben Pecora. “Our partners and supporters have really come through to provide great things for the fans — and most importantly our team has done a great job to provide Kitsap with high-level soccer.”

The Pumas host the Abbotsford B.C. Mariners at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
