"Hilary Crisman's third goal of the game completed a massive comeback and carried her Klahowya Secondary School girls soccer team to a 4-3 victory over Bremerton Thursday night at Memorial Stadium.Crisman assisted on Klahowya's third goal, by junior Erica Langdon, which tied the game 3-all in the 60th minute. She then notched her seventh goal of the season four minutes before the end of regulation to give the Eagles their second win of the year.Two goals by Melinda Rust and one from Alisha White staked the host Knights to a 3-0 lead after 21 minutes. Even after Crisman's first goal, on a penalty kick, they led 3-1 at halftime.Central Kitsap 3, Bainbridge 2: The Cougars maintained their chunk of the Olympic League lead when senior Keely Malhiot knocked in her second goal of the game from long range for the winning margin in the 67th minute.Malhiot also scored on a first-half penalty kick and Nicole Zygmontowicz found the netting three minutes into the second half. Each time, though, the Spartans were able to equalize - first with Lauren Hume scoring, second with Suzanne Replinger doing the honors just a minute after Zygmontowicz' goal.Bainbridge couldn't find a third equalizer, however.The Cougars just pulled themselves together at the end and refused to let (Bainbridge) in, said CK coach Lee Yeager. Olympic 6, Sequim 0: The Trojans scored early and often, taking a 5-0 lead after only about 20 minutes. Senior Erin Laird supplied the first two goals in a game that might've been much more one-sided except for the efforts of Sequim goalkeeper Alena Adragna.Olympic 11, Port Townsend 0: Chantal Ricard, playing for the first time this season because of an ankle injury, scored three goals and Emily Tracy added a goal and four assists in the Trojans' one-sided victory.Emily Carlson and Cassie Pugh each had two goals for Oly, which wasted no time getting on the scoreboard - freshman Lindsey Neste scored an unassisted goal less than a minute from the opening whistle against winless Port Townsend.Central Kitsap 7, Sequim 1: Sarah Parker and Nicole Zygmontowicz each scored two goals as the Cougars dispatched Sequim. Zygmontowicz also had two assists, with the other CK goals coming from Natosha Keogh and Amy Demerick.The Wolves did manage to score their first goal of the season, by Kateri Shlessman midway through the first half, but they were already 3-0 in arears by that time.Northwest 5, King's West 4: Heidi Grey's two goals pulled the Warriors ahead in the late going, but Northwest answered with two late goals to seal the home victory. Taryn Hanley and Lacey Pirak scored KW's other goals, both assisted by Natalie Mansfield.Boys cross countryPort Angeles swept the top six spots to beat both Central Kitsap and Bremerton on the Cougars' home course. CK's Patrick Hunley was the first non-Roughrider across the line, his time of 17 minutes, 37 seconds leaving him 26 seconds off the winning pace of PA's Brett Galloway.Central's Scott Eickmeyer was right behind Hunley in eighth place.At Klahowya, Olympic's Daniel Frederick and Christian Walker-Richards ran 2-3, but Port Townsend had too much depth and claimed a 23-38 victory. The Eagles' Chris Swanson finished fifth, but Klahowya didn't field a complete team.Girls cross countryCentral Kitsap's Kathleen Willy and Kim Reiland grabbed the top two spots, leading a home CK sweep of Port Angeles and Bremerton.Willy covered the course in 19:51, the only runner to break 20 minutes. Another Cougar, Crystal Lundahl, was fourth as CK upped its league dual-meet record to 4-0.Olympic's girls came within two points of knocking off Port Townsend, but the 2-4 finish of Megan Walker-Richards and Julia Corbett was trumped by Townsend's Cassie Weyhmiller and Elisa Tretter, who took first and third.Girls swimmingCentral Kitsap dominated the triple-dual gathering of the three CKSD teams at Olympic Pool, beating Olympic 112-53 and Klahowya 122-55. The Trojans won their matchup with Klahowya 94-66.Senior Tammy Mori won two events (the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke) and swam legs on two victorious CK relays to lead the way against Olympic. Sophomore Erin Matthew posted a state qualifying time of 2 minutes, 3.55 seconds in winning the 200 free.Klahowya freshman Gina Verge managed two victories over the Cougars in that matchup, taking the 50 free and 100 butterfly. She also swam on two relay teams that chalked up victories over Olympic.Against Klahowya, the Trojans got event victories from Laura Hayes (200 free), Katie Grenquist (500 free), Candra Clark (100 back) and Jessica Caulkins (100 breaststroke), as well as the 200 free relay team.
