Silverdale’s newest home improvement store will open for business on Black Friday.
Lowe’s is set to open at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4. The community is invited to attend.
The 102,000-square-foot store is located at the southeast quadrant of Myhre Road and Mickelberry Road in Silverdale behind Costco. The do-it-yourself retailer will offer more than 32,000 products under one roof.
Lowe’s is known for “helping homeowners find the right equipment and supplies to build, improve, beautify and enjoy their homes,” according to the company. The Silverdale store will feature a 28,700-square-foot garden center with a selection of flowers, bushes, trees and garden supplies tailored to Washington’s climate and lifestyle.
A store the size of the future Silverdale Lowe’s represents an average investment in the community of about $12 million and creates up to 120 new jobs.
Lowe’s works with Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, United Way and the Home Safety Council. To date, Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation has donated more than $550,000 in the state of Washington, according to the company.
Lowe’s, the second largest home improvement retailer in the world, was founded in 1946 and is based in Mooresville, N.C. For information, visit Lowe’s at www.lowes.com.
