Dressing up salmon for a charitable cause
Sep 13 2005
You cant catch these salmon and you cant eat them, but you can decorate them to taste.
To benefit the Clear Creek Trail, the trails task force is selling salmon art boards that need a little sprucing up. The salmon can be decorated to the artists liking and are available in three sizes for $5, $10 or $25. Salmon boards are available at Grape Expectations Wine Shop in Old Town Silverdale on Byron Street or at the Clear Creek Interpretive Center on Bucklin Hill Road from noon to 3 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 17.
People like (decorating the salmon) because its a fun way to support the trail, said Mary Earl, owner of Grape Expectations and Clear Creek Task Force member. There are prizes for first and second place and several other categories.
Children and adults alike are welcome to purchase a salmon board. All boards must be returned to Grape Expectations
