Sure, you could travel to Canada to see the Cannuck rock masters Pride Tiger at festivals with Stone Temple Pilots or the Flaming Lips or even in concert with Coheed and Cambria.

But they’ll be coming through Bremerton this Friday, likely filling up the Manette Saloon as they get down with local stalwarts Green 13 starting around 9:30 p.m. May 31. And it’s only $5.

Pride Tiger, a self-professed band of “road dawgs” that have been picking up steam, traveling across North America over the past five years. It’s been almost like one big tour, bassist Mike Payette said.

“We’re kind of all over the place,” he said. “One night we’ll play a show in a really small bar that doesn’t even have the stage and the next we’ll be playing some huge festival. We just kind of go where the wind blows us.”

The band will be stopping through Bremerton midway through a West Coast tour that will take them all the way down to San Diego before flying back to Calgary for the massive Virgin Mobile Festival, featuring Stone Temple Pilots.

Showcasing the Tiger’s diversity, they’ll be playing with everything form STP to the old school rock and rollers Green 13 to a skate rock band from the Bay Area, a jam band in San Diego and the all-female AC/DC tribute Hell’s Belles with whom they’ll rock at Hell’s Kitchen Friday in Tacoma.

Earlier in the evening, you can catch an entirely different show as the rampant Seattle band The Pharmacy makes its way over to share the stage with a few local bands.

Known for praise in the Stranger and throughout Seattle’s Capital Hill/indie rock scene, The Pharmacy released a new album this spring called “Choose Your Own Adventure.” They’ve been touring the West Coast in support, including a one-legged adventure at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. They’ll be standing on their own two feet all over the Northwest this summer onto the rest of the United States and into Europe this fall.

Check them out first with one of the most pleasantly weird bands in Kitsap — Kingston’s Electric Lemonade Project —?Saturday night at Jackson Hall.
