Retailer coming to Silverdale.

Kitsap Mall shoppers will have a trendy, new spot to shop for clothing in a few months.

Hollister is the newest addition to Kitsap Mall and is scheduled to open in time for the holiday shopping season.

Kitsap Mall spokeswoman Yvonne Tomascak said the mall and Hollister worked on the contract for “quite some time” and the hip clothing retailer will take over the 5,600-square-foot space formally occupied by the Disney Store.

“We listened to our shoppers’ requests. We are thrilled to have Hollister join us at Kitsap Mall just in time for the 2008 holiday season,” Kitsap Mall Property Manager Rene Morris stated in a news release. “Hollister is one of many new retailers earmarked for our shopping center to enhance our retail mix.”

Tomascak said mall employees asked shoppers what retailers they would like to see inside Kitsap Mall and Hollister was a top choice.

“I think it’s something that our guests have asked for. It was one of the retailers they asked for and we’re happy to offer that for them,” Tomascak said.

Hollister, one of Abercrombie & Fitch’s most popular brands, sells men’s and women’s clothing.

Tomascak said construction is underway on the store’s future location and Hollister is scheduled to open in November.
