Crab Feed has successful return | Letters | Nov. 6
Nov 06 2009
Bainbridge Arts and Crafts revived our legendary Auction and Crab Feed for the 26th time on Oct. 24.
The Crab Feed’s success is due to the generosity and hard work of many people who worked many hours.
With sincere gratitude, we would like to thank 55 artists who generously donated beautiful work; generous friends of the gallery who donated practical (fresh eggs), exotic (a shellfish garden in your waterfront), extravagant (flight over Bainbridge Island) and fun (a slot machine) auction items.
We thank the people who are now going to take their neighbors on cruises, bake exquisite holiday cookies, make glorious picnic lunches and open their cabins, apartments and houses to BAC supporters.
Not to mention our friends who danced, ate crab, and raised their paddles for BAC.
And special thanks to our great volunteers, including the super jazz band, The Thomas Fritchman Experience (all from Bainbridge High School), and Dave Sandbloom. Thanks to IslandWood for making this the best auction ever.
But most of all, thanks to the wonderful BAC staff (and their spouses) and our Board of Trustees.
All of them worked long, hard hours with boundless enthusiasm, limitless energy, and as always, great good cheer.
We are truly fortunate to live in such a warm, generous community.
Susan Jackson,
Executive director
Bainbridge Arts and Crafts
