“Mangatsika!” Zoboomafoo’s Kratt brothers at KiDiMu event

Can you believe your mind? Zoboomafoo’s creators and hosts, Chris and Martin Kratt are returning to Bainbridge for two performances, 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Nov. 7 in the Bainbridge High School gymnasium.

During the wild 90-minute show, the duo will share stories of their adventures with animals as seen on Zoboomafoo, the popular TV show that appears on PBS-affiliate Sprout TV. This high energy KiDiMu fundraiser opens with Seattle-based musical group “The Not-Its,” whose up-tempo rock is made just for kids.

The entertaining kin engage the audience with animal sounds, slapstick humor, and lots of interaction. This mangatsika (a Malagasy word meaning “amazing”) event is KiDiMu’s biggest fundraiser of the year and proceeds will go toward construction of the new museum space.

The event is general seating and doors open a half hour before the show. A special autograph signing will be offered after the second show.

“The autograph signing is a true highlight,” said KiDiMu director Susan Sivitz, “since each child gets an opportunity to meet at least one of the brothers, ask him a question, and take a photo.”

The brothers got their start by taking camping trips in exotic locales and filming the wildlife they found there. Today, they produce, write, film and co-star in three series: Kratts Creatures (www.krattscreatures.com), the Emmy Award-winning Zoboomafoo and a new series “Be the Creature,” which air on PBS, the National Geographic Channel, and CBC.
