Kids' fish derby is May 3

The Mount Si Fish and Game Club's annual children's trout derby is daylight to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3 at the ponds behind the Snoqualmie Police Department, located at 34825 Douglas Ave. S.E. in Snoqualmie.

Children aged 6 to 14 may compete. No registration is necessary, and there is no cost. The fish weigh takes place from 6:30 to 10 a.m., when prizes will be awarded to the largest fish in each age bracket.

Fish must be neatly cleaned and gills removed before being weighed. There is limit of two fish, and fishing nets are not allowed. No dogs will be allowed around the derby.
