Massage business marks five years

Now marking their fifth year in business, North Bend Therapeutic Massage started in 2003, in a small office with a big dream.

Owner Kendra Gudz now works alongside massage therapists Lauren Kuntz and Teresa Stokes and receptionist Jill Chambers.

“I was only 23 when I started this business,” Gudz said. “I knew that if I could create an environment that I loved, others would too.”

After attending Florida College of Natural Health in Sarasota, Fla., Gudz moved home to North Bend and sensed a hole in the medical and treatment massage services available in the Valley. The business has since grown and moved to its current location on North Bend Way, in front of the QFC.

“We pride ourselves on our quality of work,” Gudz said. North Bend Therapeutic Massage offers hot stone massage and relaxation massage, but is best known for injury treatment, Gudz said.

Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Visitors’ center hours extended

The Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce’s visitor information center season has been extended. Starting on Sept. 1, the center, located at the North Bend train depot, will be open on weekends, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, through Oct. 26.

A Chamber After Hours event is planned Wednesday, Sept. 24, hosted by the Northwest Railway Museum. Call (425)888-4440 for information.
