Goodman gets results
Oct 25 2008
ELECTION 2008
I first met State Representative Roger Goodman on one of those typical rainy February days in 2007.
Along with several other constituents from the 45th Legislative District, we made the long drive to Olympia to meet with him to discuss important issues within the environmental community.
I was immediately taken by how warm and welcoming Roger was, how intently he listened to our concerns, the depth of his understanding of environmental bills, and the intelligence of the questions he asked and responses he made.
Environmental concerns such as Clean Air/Clean Fuels, Saving Puget Sound, Eliminating Toxic Flame Retardants and Wildlife and Recreation programs were why I had gone to visit Representative Goodman.
My passion is for the environment. But when I left from that meeting, I knew that if I ever had any concerns about the direction the Washington State Legislature was taking on any topic, I would be able to knock on Roger’s door, and make those concerns known.
Roger Goodman embodies the concept of government for the people and by the people.
The concerns and needs of his constituents are of utmost importance to him, and he always makes the time to listen.
I have had several occasions since that rainy day in February to speak with Roger and I have always walked away from those conversations knowing my input is valued, and that I will see results.
