Crews will close West Lake Sammamish Parkway in Redmond for four nights

Nov 19 2009

Drivers should expect possible delays for four nights as crews close West Lake Sammamish Parkway near SR 520.

The closures will allow crews to install large concrete girders for two new SR 520 ramps at West Lake Sammamish Parkway. WSDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time to follow the detour route. This work is part of the project to add a new HOV lane and merge lane to both directions of SR 520 between SR 202 and West Lake Sammamish Parkway.

• Thursday, Nov. 19 and Sunday, Nov. 22 - Tuesday, Nov. 24: Crews will close both directions of West Lake Sammamish Parkway between Leary Way NE and the on-ramp to eastbound SR 520 each night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The ramp from southbound West Lake Sammamish Parkway to eastbound SR 520 also will be closed at the same time.

• Northbound: Drivers headed northbound on West Lake Sammamish Parkway will be detoured onto eastbound SR 520 to SR 202/Redmond Way, then onto westbound SR 520 to Leary Way NE.

• Southbound: Drivers headed southbound on West Lake Sammamish Parkway will be detoured on Leary Way NE, right onto Bear Creek Parkway, right onto SR 202/Redmond Way, then onto westbound SR 520 to NE 51st Street, then onto eastbound SR 520 to West Lake Sammamish Parkway.
