Benjamin Hsieh, an eighth-grader at IMS, practices the violin in the framing of what will soon be his new home on Sunday, May 31. The violinist, who plays in a quartet along with the middle school orchestra, says he enjoys practicing at the construction site because ‘it feels open and spacious.’ Often, a passerby in the North-end neighborhood will stop on the street to listen to Hsieh’s music. The IMS student will perform in the school’s Spring Concert at 7 p.m. this evening, June 3.
