King County Sheriff's 'Party Patrol' on the lookout for teen drinkers

The King County Sheriff’s Office annual “Party Patrol” to target underage drinking at high school graduation parties began last Friday and will continue at least the next several weeks.
The goal of the extra patrols is to curtail teenage drinking and driving.
As part of the multi-jurisdictional effort, which includes the Kirkland, Bellevue and Redmond police departments, the Washington State Liquor Control Board is sending out several undercover liquor control agents to area businesses every night to make sure alcohol isn’t sold to minors.
Minors under the age of 18 found drinking will be arrested, then released only to their parents or booked into the Youth Center. Those 18 to 21 will get a misdemeanor citation and could be booked into jail.
