Eastside Symphony to perform in Kirkland

The Eastside Symphony will perform in Kirkland this Sunday, May 18, at 3 p.m. at the Kirkland Performance Center.

The symphony includes seven Kirkland residents: Louise Pathe, Kathy Forgrave, Dana Hall, Rachel Harris, David Harwood, Patti Leng and John Perlic.

The program will include performances of Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2 with soloist Holly Herrmann on piano; Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 “Pastorale;” and Beethoven’s Egmont Overture.

The Eastside Symphony is made up of local amateur musicians from all backgrounds, including students, teachers, computer programmers and homemakers. The group, led by internationally-known conductor Alexei Girish, performs at least four concerts per year.

Tickets ($10 adult and $7 for seniors and students) are available from www.BrownPaperTickets.com. Children 7 and under are free.
