Girls basketball | Fast start leads Issaquah to victory over Skyline

Issaquah pounced on Skyline early and held on for a 49-42 victory Friday night at Bellevue College.
The Eagles led 15-4 after the first quarter, maintaining a comfortable cushion for the remainder of the contest.
Issaquah was led by Blaire Brady's game-high 16 points. Brooke Miller added nine and Maddey Pflaumer had seven.
Kassia Fortier paced the Spartans with a team-high 14 points, while Haley Smith had eight.
The third-ranked Eagles improved to 8-0 in league and 11-1 overall. Skyline dropped to 3-5 in league and 6-6 overall.
Eastlake downs rival Redmond
Eastlake broke a two-game losing skid Friday night, downing rival Redmond 47-35 on the road.
The Wolves and Mustangs were in a tight contest, with Eastlake leading 33-29 after three quarters. The Wolves outscored the Mustangs 14-6 down the stretch, however, improving to 3-5 in league and 7-5 overall.
Kendra Morrison led Eastlake with 17 points, while Alyssa Charlston had 15.
Holy Names routes Eastside Catholic
Top-ranked Holy Names routed Eastside Catholic 80-44 Friday night.
The Cougars exploded for 27 points in the first quarter and 22 in the second for a 49-23 halftime lead.
Eastside Catholic, which dropped to 3-6 in league and 6-7 overall, was led by 12 points of Michaela O'Rourke and the 10 of Carly Webster.
