Simone commits to Washington State
Aug 22 2008
Skyline senior wide receiver Gino Simone, one of the more highly touted players in the state, verbally committed to Washington State University last weekend.
At 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, Simone caught 70 passes for 1,417 yards and 18 touchdowns last year in Skyline’s state championship season. He was ranked the No. 3 overall player in the state by rivals.com.
Simone also had offers from Washington, Oregon State and Boise State.
He told the Web site Scout.com: “I got a chance to sit down and go a little more in-depth with the coaches on what Washington State wants to do on offense and where they’re headed on offense. And I’m real confident in that coaching staff and where they’re going.”
