With the election almost over... two new faces to join Issaquah City Council

The only incumbent in a contested race for Issaquah City Council has survived to sit another term.
At The Reporter’s deadline after latest ballot figures were received from King County Elections at 4.30 p.m., Wednesday, Maureen McCarry was well out in front in the race for her Position No. 5 with 68.24 percent (2954 votes), well ahead of Joan Probala with 31.55 percent (1366).
For position No. 7, Tola Marts has a slimmer but still significant lead with 60.59 percent (2587).
He leads Nathan Perea with 39.16 percent (1672).
The other positions, Mayor, No. 1 and No. 3, are all uncontested, and will be won by incumbent Ava Frisinger, first time candidate Mark Mullet, and incumbent Eileen Barber respectively.
As of Wednesday evening, 5128, 31.36 percent, of the total 16351 ballots mailed out to registered voters had been counted.
According to the latest figures, King County Elections were expecting to receive ballots from 55 percent of registered voters in King County, outside Seattle.
In Issaquah, this translates to about 9,000 ballots.
