Bellevue Dragons capture Pony tourney title

The 10U Bellevue Dragons Pony League team swept opponents from Spokane, Portland and Seattle on the way to winning the West Seattle Pony tournament championship the weekend of July 12-14.
Bellevue defeated West Seattle 17-16 to capture the tournament title. Jack Sampson bunted home the winning run for the Dragons.
In the first game of the tournament, Sampson, Taylor Hawk, Andrew McCray and Nathan Aebi combined to pitch a no-hitter against the Seattle Senators.
The championship is the second consecutive tournament championship for the Dragons, as they recently won the Renton Spot Little League tournament. The Dragons will represent Bellevue Pony League in the North Pony Sectional Qualifier this week.
