Congressional candidate Suzan DelBene to address group

Mar 22 2009

Democrat Suzan DelBene of Medina will address the Newport Hills Drinking Liberally chapter April 6 to pitch her candidacy for Washington's 8th District Congressional seat.

DelBene is an ex-Microsoft Vice President, former CEO of Nimble Technologies, and was a founding executive of Drugstore.com and helped take it public. She has a master's degree in business from the University of Washington and a bachelor's degree in biology from Reed College in Portland, Ore.

She currently serves on the boards of Reed College, Eastside Preparatory School and Electro Rent Corporation.

Drinking Liberally, a national organization with chapters in all 50 states, is a network of social groups providing an opportunity for progressive minded politics and public policy junkies to congregate and discuss issues.

The Newport Hills chapter of Drinking Liberally meets the first Monday of each month, 7 .p.m, at the Mustard Seed Bar & Grill in the Newport Hills neighborhood of South Bellevue.

Drinking Liberally clubs are non-partisan, and do not endorse political candidates, but candidates are always welcome.
