It's the mother of all garage sales Saturday

So, you say you like garage sales. Well, here comes the mother of them all.
Saturday and Sunday, the remaining contents of Group Health’s Redmond campus, including stainless steel cookware from the full commercial kitchen to filing cabinets and baby items will be for sale.
The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the former hospital site, located at 2700 152nd Ave. N.E. in the Overlake area. There will be plenty of parking.
Enter at the main level and browse through bargains that will be located throughout the hallways and rooms of the first three floors.
Group Health Cooperative closed its 28-acre hospital campus last spring, after it sold the property to make way for a housing, retail and office complex. The co-op moved its operations to two other Eastside locations.
Most of the items for sale are in “very nice, good, clean condition,” according to Bob Grzenia, representative of the Centurion Service Group, an auction and liquidation firm that will hold the sale.
The firm has shipped Group Health’s high-tech medical equipment, including operating room instruments and mammography machines, to Las Vegas where they will be auctioned off next week.
In addition to individual use, most of the items for sale this weekend would be functional for anybody in the food industry, Grzenia said, such as restaurants, bakeries, nursing homes and hotels.
The hospital’s stocked commercial kitchen features coffee urns ($15), glassware, cups and dishes that will sell four for a dollar and stock pots ($30), baking pans ($35) and pan racks ($125-$135).
Amongst the stainless steel inventory: a $350 four-hole steam table, work tables from $125-$225, a sanitary ice machine ($650) and an entire dishwashing unit with glass racks ($2,850).
Cafeteria items include nearly 100 wooden chairs ($20-$25) and Formica tables ($75).
Hundreds of appliances also will be for sale, such as a Traulsen pass-through refrigerator ($1,850), Cleveland steam oven ($2,350), Hobart mixer with table and entire walk-in refrigerator and freezer units.
The sale will feature about 80 hospital beds with over-bed tables, 15 wheelchairs at $25 each and 20 exam tables with stirrups ($50).
“I don’t think we’ll run out of filing cabinets,” Grzenia said, scanning a hallway aligned with different size models that will run for $30-$45.
Other office-type inventory includes lamps, art pieces, wooden desks, office seating, hundreds of stack chairs and bookcases.
For the little ones, parents will have their pick of take-along Graco swings, strollers, Excer-saucers and Fisher Price high chairs, all at $15 each.
After the sale, any leftover items most likely will be donated to an organization, Grzenia added.
