BCC production 'Pippin' features three from Bellevue

Jul 23 2008

Three Bellevue Community College students from Bellevue will be on stage July 24, 25 and 26 as the BCC Drama Department presents the musical, “Pippin.”

Paul Barrois will perform one of the lead roles: Charles - the emperor Charlemagne - who is Pippin’s less-than-attentive father.

CJ Jaeger and John Tembreull will appear in supporting roles as Players, a group of actors who open the show with a musical prologue and then enact characters in the musical’s “play-within-a-play.”

Tembreull is a graduate of Eastside Catholic High School. Jaeger is still a student at Forest Ridge High School but is taking part in the college’s summer enrichment program, which enables eligible students to supplement their high school education and gain college credit by taking more challenging classes.

Barrois is a home-schooled high school graduate.

“Pippin” is the story of a young man who encounters war, politics, revolution, sex, drugs and parenthood on his path to find meaning in his life.
