Rachel Solemsaas named BCC vice president

Rachel Solemsaas has been named vice president of administrative services at Bellevue Community College.
Solemsaas worked most recently at Edmonds Community College where she served for four years as vice president for finance and operations.
She holds a master's degree in public administration from the University of Washington and a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the De La Salle University in the Philippines. She is currently a doctoral-degree student in community college leadership at Washington State University.
Solemsaas replaces Dr. Laura E. Saunders, who retired recently after a 40-year career in higher education.
