Two join Group Health’s Bellevue staff

Dr. Aya Kuribayashi, MD who specializes in Family Medicine and Dr. Jeffrey Landers, MD who specializes in General Surgery, have joined Group Health’s Bellevue Medical Center.

Dr. Kuribayashi is a board certified family medicine physician who received her undergraduate degree from University of Kansas and went on to attend Harvard Medical School.

Travel medicine and international health top her list of medical interests. She spent time abroad during her medical training, including time in Costa Rica, where she learned medical Spanish, South Africa, where she treated TB and HIV patients and delivered babies, and China, where she learned about Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Landers is a board certified surgeon who received his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University and went on to attend Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He served as Staff General Surgeon in the U.S. Navy, including in the U.S. Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan, on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier, and in the U.S. Naval Hospital in Bremerton. Most recently, he was at the Cleveland Clinic, where he spent a year completing a fellowship with emphasis on advanced laparoscopy, bariatrics, and surgical endoscopy.

Dr. Kuribayashi lives in Bellevue with her husband. Dr. Landers lives in Seattle.
